Would you say that Manchester city centre is as busy, or is getting as busy as central London now?

I'm 29 and I've never remembered Manchester being so busy regardless of the day or time of the day. Yes Manchester has always been busier than say Liverpool or Leeds. I'm talking Like 8-10 years ago, yes it was as busy as at weekends sure, but nowerdays every day feels like a Saturday in terms of footfall.

Nowersays, you go town on a Wednesday when it's pissing down and restaurants, cafes, bars etc are usually full or getting that way. The only other city in the UK I've been too that is aso densely populated with the "never sleeps" vibe, is london.

Plus as awful as Manchester airport and Piccadilly station are, they're always packed full with new routes always bing announced at the airport from far eastern countries that bring in tourism.

Are we basically a mini London now in terms of how busy central areas are?
